Our Charitable Foundation Mission

The people of Seabrook Island and vicinity have been helping local foundations for many years, hoping to make life a little better for some less fortunate in the area. We would like to thank all of you who so generously have donated over the years.

The Fleming Open is proud to once again select the Sea Islands Blessing Basket, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization as the charitable designation for 2025. The Blessing Basket provides healthy, fresh produce, eggs, and meat to its clients. They serve the neediest of families on Johns and Wadmalaw Islands. Currently 345 clients, representing 698 household members, receive monthly distributions of healthy, fresh andshelf-stable food items. For some clients, the monthly food distribution is the only food they have each week.

We are excited to continue our charitable tradition in support of our local community. Based upon the ever-increasing need to provide healthy food items to our neighbors, the Blessing Basket has again been chosen to be a recipient of our community’s much needed and generous support!
